It seems that healthy eating is a topic where everyone talks about fat and which fat is beneficial for our body. This is the most trending and confusing topic.  The effect of saturated fat on health is a hot topic in nutrition, while some experts state that consumption of saturated fat in moderate amounts will have harm our health. Saturated fats are known as bad fats because they are grouped with trans fats. Trans fats are a type of fat that harms our health. Recent studies recommend to avoid saturated fats and instead intake the food that is rich in carbs and proteins.

What are the effects of saturated fats on our heart health?

Saturated fats are bad for our health in many ways.

Risk of heart disease: Our body needs healthy fats to carry its energy. But consumption of too much-saturated fat like cheese and butter may lead to cholesterol and cause the risk of heart diseases.

Gain in weight: Foods like pizza, burgers, and fried food are loaded with saturated fats. Overeating of fat might gain weight and cause various health complications.

Although studies state that the consumption of foods that are rich in saturated fats harms our health. Let us elaborate on how is saturated fat unhealthy.  For example, fast foods like pizza, burger, and processed meat are high in saturated fat and extremely dangerous for our health. The saturated fats that come from milk and other dairy product are said to be healthy.

It is better to choose the foods that are rich in mono and poly saturated fats because they are said to be healthy fats as they maintain them at the room temperature.

However, cutting down on fat-rich foods may help you to shed a few kilos from your body and make you stay fit and healthy. It also helps in reducing the risk of several other complications.

How can saturated fats be included as a part of our healthy diet?

 There is no doubt that you can include saturated fats as a part of your healthy diet.  Coconut and coconut products like coconut milk and milk, yogurt are some of the examples which are rich in saturated fats and nutritious.

Research states that the consumption of dairy products and helped in improving good cholesterol.  On the other hand, consumption of processed like fast foods, fried foods harm our health and cause various complications.
